Small Group Fitness - Less is more.

The truth is, the higher the level of supervision the better the quality of your workout. That’s why we’ve created BodyTech Small Group Fitness classes. Unlike those offered by other gyms, our group classes are based on a simple premise: less is more. By limiting the number of people in the class we can offer more personal supervision, and that results in a more effective, more efficient and more fun experience for you.

All our classes are free of charge. If you would like to book in for any of our classes please email us at reception@bodytech.co.nz and let us know.  We will then send you an invitation to subscribe to our easy to use smartphone compatible booking software. If you already have activated your account, go to http://influxapp.com/login to login.

Challenging the body and engaging the mind, BodyTechRide™ programmes involve certified Spinning® instruction, sound training principles and rides that are always fresh with your training goals in mind. If you’re looking for a motivating cardio experience that allows you to burn calories, gain energy or prepares you for competitive cycling, then jump aboard for the ride of your life.

 

Class Description | Conditioning

Our physical conditioning classes do more than just get your heart racing; they improve your physical condition from head to toe with a mix of agility, balance, strength and endurance. What’s more, they’re delivered by BodyTech trainers - so expect to work hard!

 

Bravo HIIT Series - 30 min
Incorporates an all-encompassing high intensity total body programme, utilising Cybex's award-winning Bravo Functional Training System (Bravo Press, Pull, Lift) and spArc Trainer, with other training accessories. Delivered in a group interval circuit training format, our trainers will put you through a combination of muscle-strengthening and endurance activities that deliver the benefits of both free-form exercise and meaningful weight load. This results in a stronger core, stronger body and better functional performance in optimal functional fitness. With consistent participation, you can expect a level of strength and stamina worthy of each minute of the 30 minute session.

 

Supervised Strike™
Supervised Strike is an authentic high intensity boxer’s workout that includes skipping, shadow boxing, bag work, combination drills, and medicine ball mid-section work for stronger abs. Supervised Strike is great for both men and women who want a high intensity, calorie burning workout.

 

 

Class Description | Pilates and Yoga

Pilates

Core strength is the foundation of the Pilates method of exercise. It focuses on quality of movement with greater emphasis of muscular awareness and movement, as opposed to optimal strengthening of the body’s muscular-skeletal system. Other benefits include improved posture, coordination and flexibility.

 

Pilates Mat
Mat classes combine the mat exercises and principles of Pilates without using Pilates equipment. Instead you create resistance using your own body and gravity. Mat classes provide the essentials of a dynamic Pilates workout and are an excellent way to strengthen your core.

 

Pilates Workshops - Mat and Reformer
Pilates Reformer/Mat Workshops are designed to take you from the Beginner level through to Intermediate. Our 8-12 week courses introduce you to the fundamental concepts of core awareness, strength, and body alignment. As you progress and develop your technique, the workouts become more advanced. Yoga

Getting a deeper understanding of breath, balanced posture and integrated movement is invaluable to your health.

 

Yoga - General (Hatha)
This class integrates the postures, breathing exercises, relaxation and meditation to harmonise you on every level - body, mind and spirit. It is a delightful, mindful and moving class. All levels welcome.

 

Yoga - Astanga/Vinyasa
Astanga is a rigorous style of yoga that follows a specific sequence of postures and is similar to vinyasa yoga, as each style links every movement to a breath. The difference is that astanga always performs the exact same poses in the exact same order, whereas the order or variance of the poses often changes with vinyasa. This is a physically demanding practice.

 

Yoga Workshops
