

The first BodyTech officially was opened by Peter Rana in May 1986, in the affluent community of East Hampton on New York's east end...USA. With over 1,500 members and 2,500 square feet, it became the most successful fitness centre in the Hampton's.

BodyTech attracted many celebrities, such as Calvin Klein, Barbara Streisand, John F Kennedy Jr., Bianca Jagger, Martha Stewart, and dozens of other celebrities and professional athletes.
Less than six years after the opening of the first BodyTech, a second centre "Club BodyTech" opened in September 1992 in Miami, Florida. This was in time for the biggest season ever in the history of South Beach's now famous Art Deco District.
In October 1997, Peter and Monique Rana opened the BodyTech Mt. Eden, Auckland. The first fitness centre of its kind that provided unsurpassed customer service, fully personalised training, systemised member counselling, and the most high tech equipment on the market. This combination, along with warm and friendly staff makes BodyTech leaders in the health and fitness industry in New Zealand.
In August 2001 BodyTech opened the first purpose built facility of its kind in New Zealand, designed without having to compromise functionality or quality. Located in a brand new complex on Normanby Road, Auckland, BodyTech rivals the best fitness clubs and spas around the world.
BodyTech Fitness and Spa is an expansion on the original services that BodyTech Mt Eden provided, these include: an exercise studio (Supervised Strike, Chi Gong, Tai Chi, Yoga, and Pilates), tennis court, 25 metre swimming pool, sauna, steam, spa and BodyTech Spa - a fully serviced Day Spa. Furthermore Functional Physiotherapy is located in the same building and has a close association with BodyTech, assisting with specialist rehabilitation for our members.
Since establishing its brand from inception, the general public has demanded more locations through out New Zealand. In June 2006 BodyTech The Viaduct opened, this was followed shortly after by BodyTech Ascot Park (Greenlane), and BodyTech Smales Farm (Takapuna). The new brand of BodyTech gyms are now called Supervised Training Gyms.
